Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa has taken a strong stance against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, condemning his refusal to accept deported Venezuelan migrants as a “miserable” act rooted in authoritarianism.

President Noboa asserts that this refusal reflects a troubling lack of empathy towards citizens fleeing the severe crisis created by Maduro’s government.

The tensions between Ecuador and Venezuela are escalating, particularly as Maduro’s actions follow the US decision to revoke Chevron’s operating license in Venezuela.

This diplomatic clash is complicated by the ongoing regional migration crisis, as economic instability continues to drive millions of Venezuelans to seek refuge in neighboring countries.

President Noboa’s comments highlight the broader implications of Venezuela’s policies and their impact on diplomatic relations not only with Ecuador but also with the United States and other Latin American nations grappling with the influx of migrants.
