Question. How would you describe your childhood?

Answer. My childhood, full of love. I’m lucky enough to have a family, with dads and siblings who have supported me since day one on anything I’ve wanted. I think in the end that has driven me and given me the necessary support to be who I am.

Q. What’s the time in her life that made her have a click with football?

A. I always practiced sport, especially football… My first memory is from 2001 or 2002 for the Japan World Cup. But the moment I decided: I want to dedicate myself to something related, was when I was 15. I travelled to Madrid with my family to see the Bernabeu. There I said, I want to study something related to sport.

The Honduran was present at the Golden Ball gala of 2024.

Q. Is football an activity you share with your family?

A. It’s funny, because in fact at home none of them were footballers. My parents never went from watching football, but they always supported me to play it. As my passion when playing it was so great, they started getting more and more involved. Today they’re my number one fans and everything.

Q. What was your parents’ reaction when she told them she wanted to dedicate herself to creating content on social media?

A. Rather, my reaction was, because the one who gave me the idea was my dad. My sister was already on social media, but in a completely different area.

I was at a time when I didn’t know exactly what to do in terms of my professional career and my dad was the one who said to me, Nuni, look at the business model. (He) was the one who pushed me, spent months and months saying it, until one day I did it because one day I was bored. I started doing TikTok during the pandemic and things started to happen.

Nuni shares more details of his personal life on his social networks accompanied by elaborate sports analysis.

Q. What does it feel like to be in an area that is predominantly male?

A. At first it cost me a little. At first I mean being in Honduras because I felt too marked by that machismo in terms of brands or companies, who are looking for someone related to sport. But today the truth is that this makes me empowered and, above all, when I receive comments; fortunately they are the minority, but the sexists make me empowered.

Q. How was the other side, the female response?

A. It’s the most rewarding thing I have, at first I did it for that: I wanted to be that reference that I would have liked to have. When I was 12 I started thinking about this as part of my everyday life. I love that they have the confidence and courage to write to me and to be told they want to start a path like mine. It makes everything more rewarding.

Nuni fell in love with football from a young age.

Q. What would be the eleven ideal of the National Team for Nuni?

A. Uh, let’s see. At the goal I’d go with Noel Valladares. From central Maynor Figueroa; Emilio Izaguirre on the left; Sabillon on the right. Almost every player we had in 2010, who went to the World Cup; I stay with that generation. I don’t think it would change any of that generation.

Q. From the professional point you’re at, what would you do different to get there?

A. If I’m honest, I don’t think I would change anything because at the end of the day, the mistakes I’ve made in the process have led me to where I am today. It’s part of the necessary learning I had.

Q. What superpower would you like to have?

A. Teleport me. I like to meet many countries, all parts of the world. And right now it would be perfect.

Nuni has become a dignified representation of women in sports.

I would tell him not to let anyone question his passion and worry about always looking to be happy within the possible.Nuni Jewel revealed to Diario Tiempo that he has several projects on the doorstep by 2025, including sports-related tripsdeporte, contained on other platforms and a secret project.
