The Venezuelan government today denounced that the state airline Conviasa has been the target of an alleged cyber attack, which, in its opinion, is part of a plan of aggression against the country.

The Minister of Transport, Ramón Velásquez, said that today we denounce that, since the Conviasa airline, we have been the target of a cyberattack perpetrated by the hacktivist collective Anonymous.

“However, fortunately, we have acted to safeguard all the information of our flag airline, which has been attacked again by fascists dragged into US imperialism,” he added.

State airline Conviasa has been sanctioned by the U.S. government to limit its air operations.

Also, one of its subsidiary companies, the also state-owned Aerocargo de Transporte Company del Sur (Emtrasur), Washington stripped him of a Boeing 747 Dreamliner cargo plane, which was confiscated and transferred from Argentina to the United States. U.S., then destroyed on U.S. territory.
