Ortega gives new ‘plenary powers’ to son Laurean to sign agreements

The dictator Daniel Ortega granted “plenary power” his son Laureano Ortega Murillo, to act – on behalf of the government, in the signing of cooperation agreements with Russian institutions, in the field of education and culture. All this without legal support.

Official media reported on Wednesday, December 13, that the dictator’s son is in Moscow, Russia, in a meeting with the president of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin.

The four presidential agreements were published on Thursday, December 14 in the official newspaper La Gaceta. Ortega Murillo signed the contracts – as a presidential adviser for the promotion of investment, trade and international cooperation.

Laureano Ortega Murillo also received “pleagues of powers,” last August to sign the Free Trade Agreement with China on behalf of Nicaragua, although it barely occupies an adviser’s responsibility and not a position of minister.

Presidential Agreement

Presidential Agreement 236-2023 gives full powers to Ortega Murillo to sign the “Agreement for cooperation between the higher education institution of the Federal State of the State the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Moscow (Russian Federation) and the Rubén Darío National Theatre.

Presidential Agreement 237-2023 grants full powers to the dictator’s son to sign “Agreement for cooperation between the higher education budget institution of the Federal State – Academina de Ballet Vaganova and the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture.”

Presidential Agreement 238-2023 grants full powers to sign Agreement on Creative Cooperation between the State Federal State Company of Circus and the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture.

And Presidential Agreement 239-2023 gives you full powers to sign the “Agreement of Cooperation between the State Library of All Russia of Foreign Literature M.I. Rudomino and the Institute of Culture.
