There is no dull moments when it comes to Argentina President Javier Milei.

President Milei, fresh from attending the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, is causing shockwaves in Europe where he has attending the Davos Climate Change conference.

President Milei took aim at Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez at the World Economic Forum in Davos, criticising his latest proposal to regulate social media in the EU.

Twenty hours before Sánchez presented an initiative to better regulate social networks and limit hate speech and xenophobia. Not not everyone seems to be on board with Sanchez and President Milei is one of them.

Speaking to journalists, President Milei says Sánchez, as a socialist, just wants to silence those who disagree with him. He added that Sánchez’s intervention in Davos was “regrettable,” like everything he says and does.

President Milei called the move by Sanchez as “censorship” and the idea that all of those against the “woke ideology” are silenced.

On Wednesday, Sánchez presented a series of measures to strengthen the EU’s fight against what the PSOE leader called the threat to democracy posed by social media networks and “the techno-billionaire,” a likely reference to Elon Musk.

In his proposal, Sánchez called to put an end to online anonymity and suggested that big tech giants like X should be held responsible for what is disseminated on social media.

Milei was one of the far-right leaders present at Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington, alongside others, including Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
