Thousands of people across the globe continue to share on social media the beautiful transformation and tourist attractions in El Salvador.
The 72nd edition of the prestigious Miss Universe pageant is being hosted in El Salvador this year.
Contestants have arrived and are exploring the Historic Center, the viral Rainbow slide and sharping up their pupusa making skills.
The beauty ambassadors are sharing their amazing experience in El Salvador via social media.
Eighty-six contestants are competing for the coveted crown.
The preliminary round kicks off next Wednesday where the queens will parade in their evening gowns and swimsuits in front of the judges.
This crucial round determines their scores and who makes it to the semi-final, which will be announced on the coronation night.
The following day, the beauty queens go into a national costume round with the winner also being announced during the final show.
This year’s pageant is history-making as it features the first mom contestants, Maria Camila Avella Montanez of Colombia and Michelle Cohn of Guatemala.
In addition, body positivity advocate Miss Nepal Jane Dipika Garrett says she is representing curvy women.
“As a woman who is curvy and who does not meet certain beauty standards, I’m here to represent women who are curvy, who struggle with weight gain, who struggle with hormonal issues,” she stated.
The beauty queens have been warmly welcomed by President Nayib Bukele and the Salvadoran people sharing their culture, history and delicious food.
