The Salvadoran vice chancellor held a meeting with representatives of the firm in Shenzhen, China.
The Salvadoran government seeks to “strengthen work” with Chinese telecommunications company Huawei, Deputy Foreign Minister Adriana Mira said Friday in a meeting with representatives of that firm during her visit to China.
Chancellery reported that Mira met with Huawei representatives to address “common issues” related to technology and energy.
The government hopes to strengthen projects such as the exchange of good practices for the improvement of national energy infrastructure and the adoption of advanced technologies.
The meeting took place in the city of Shenzhen in the People’s Republic of China. The Salvadoran diplomat is in the Asian country to “follow” topics such as: economy, cooperation, project evaluation, energy and technology.
Huawei began operations in El Salvador in 2008 and according to Foreign Affairs is “the main information and communication technology company” in the country.
