Cardinal José Luis Lacunza found alive but ‘disoriented’ in Boquete

On the afternoon of Thursday, February 1, the Panamanian-Spanish cardinal, José Luis Lacunza, was located in a sector of the Boquete district, who had been missing for 48 hours.

Preliminary reports of people linked to the case indicate that he was somewhat disoriented when he was located.

According to the National Police, the analysis of the video surveillance cameras made it possible to orient the investigations of this case towards Boquete.

Lacunza, 79, is the bishop of the Diocese of David, in the province of Chiriquí and disappeared on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 30.
