Wearing designs from large fashion houses such as Givenchy, Herms, Loewe and Chanel, transgender model Nessa Sosa is the cover of the latest edition of New York-based Blanc magazine.
Nessa Sosa is known on social media for filming herself modeling on the streets of the San Salvador Historic Center, and many have come to consider her the first trans model of El Salvador.
With locations in Juayúa, Sonsonate, Sosa was photographed by Salvadoran Kevin Alexander as part of his project “Ruta de la flor” and who has done important works for international magazines such as Vogue, L’Officiel, Elle, and Interview.
Being the first in something has only added another layer of complexity. “My goal is to break the unspoken barrier that has been established and be the first example for other trans people who fight to be themselves in a world that was not created for us,” Sosa told Blanc Magazine.
In the country, Nessa Sosa has modeled for events such as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and has worked for various national brands. It belongs to the modeling agency Fierce Management of Honduras.
