Honduras will join the sixth China International Import Expo in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, with a goal to foster investments and tourism, according to the news agency Prensa Latina on Friday. As the guest of honor, Honduras will showcase products like tobacco, shrimp, coffee, and cocoa at this year’s CIIE. Additionally, around 30 Honduran companies will present their products.
Fredis Cerrato, the Minister of Economic Development of Honduras, mentioned, “President Xiomara Castro directed the establishment of connections and deals with China in four crucial sectors: manufacturing, infrastructure, tourism, and energy.” He added that Honduras is searching for companies that show interest in importing products to Honduras. Four major companies have shown significant interest, purchasing land and deploying personnel to construct factories.
