Argentine singer Julieta Cazzuchelli, known as Cazzu, arrived in Mexico City on May 27 with her daughter Inti.
She spoke briefly to reporters at the airport, requesting that her daughter not be filmed.
Dressed simply and accompanied by one security person, Cazzu appeared eager to be back in Mexico.
Though she did not reveal the reasons for her visit, many speculate Cazzu may promote her recent album Latinaje or her book Perreo, una revolución.
Fans hope she will announce concerts or special appearances during her stay, as her presence has sparked anticipation across the country.
