Argentina’s President Javier Milei will visit Israel on June 11 to receive the Genesis Prize at a ceremony held at the Knesset.
The award will be presented by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana and Genesis Prize chairman Stan Polovets, followed by Milei’s nationally televised speech to Israeli lawmakers.
Milei earned the Genesis Prize for reversing Argentina’s historic anti-Israel stances, designating Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations, and reopening investigations into anti-Jewish attacks.
The Genesis Prize Foundation also noted his efforts to stabilize Argentina’s economy and achieve a fiscal surplus.
Milei declined the $1 million prize money, joining other laureates in this decision.
To honor him, the foundation will launch an initiative to strengthen Israel’s ties with Latin American countries and promote shared values such as democracy and opposition to antisemitism.
