Argentinian officials are expressing relief and joy at the recently announced release of Yarden Bibas, an Israeli-Argentine who spent nearly 16 months in Hamas captivity.

President Javier Milei, a prominent ally of Israel, shared heartfelt videos on social media showcasing the emotional reunification of Bibas with his family, highlighting the significance of this moment for both the individual and the nation.

The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the fate of Bibas’s wife and children adds complexity to this story, as their condition remains unclear following their abduction during the October 7 attacks.

Rabbi Axel Wahnish, the Argentine ambassador to Israel, emphasized the importance of ensuring the safe return of all hostages and commended Milei’s strong stance against Hamas, contrasting it with the perceived inaction from other world leaders.
