Brazil’s former President Jair Bolsonaro remains in intensive care at Brasilia’s DF Star Hospital following a 12-hour surgery to address intestinal adhesions and reconstruct his abdominal wall.

This latest procedure, described by doctors as the most complex since his 2018 stabbing, involves a delicate and prolonged recovery.

Bolsonaro shared video footage of himself undergoing physiotherapy and walking with medical support through hospital corridors, signaling steps in his recovery process.

Despite this progress, medical staff confirmed there is no set date for his discharge and have restricted visitors to reduce physical complications.

The far-right leader continues to maintain limited contact, communicating only with family and healthcare providers.

His ongoing hospital stay reflects the serious, long-term effects of his injury more than six years ago.
