U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has apprehended a Guatemalan man in Texas, wanted for murder in his home country. This highlights the agency’s commitment to tracking criminal aliens who attempt to evade justice within U.S. communities. The arrest of Dennis Alexander Valenzuela, 37, occurred on January 31 in Fort Worth, bringing attention to ongoing enforcement efforts against individuals who pose a danger to public safety.

Valenzuela entered the United States in June 2021 without proper immigration procedures. He was subsequently apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol the same day and received a Notice to Appear. The case serves as a reminder of ICE’s focus on enhancing community security through the removal of individuals wanted for serious crimes abroad.

“Our officers pursue criminal aliens who attempt to hide in the shadows of our communities daily,” said acting ICE Dallas field office director Joshua Johnson. “The apprehension and pending removal of this individual underscores our dedication to upholding the laws of our country and safeguarding our communities.”

Valenzuela, who is from Guatemala, entered the United States at or near Hidalgo, Texas on June 16, 2021, without an immigration inspection, admission, or parole by an immigration officer, according to ICE.
