Agreements Signed Between Costa Rica and El Salvador During Bukele’s Visit

El Salvador and Costa Rica signed four cooperation agreements on tourism, culture and the economy. The documents were signed by the officials who accompanied The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, during his visit to the neighbouring country.

The first agreement was signed by the Minister of Tourism of Culture, William Rodríguez López and the Minister of Culture of El Salvador, Morena Valdez. The agreement aims to “establish a strategic alliance for the exchange of experiences and the development of projects” for a sustainable tourism model in El Salvador.

The agreement also aims to share the experiences it has developed in the implementation of “Surfcity.” The agreement was signed in front of the press and the two presidents.

For his part, Jorge Vives, Minister of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica, signed an agreement the Minister of Culture of El Salvador, Raúl Castillo, to “allow the exchange of knowledge, artistic practices and cultural policies” to promote bilateral cooperation.
