Thailand paid over $3,900 for a quintal of Salvadoran coffee

Thailand has paid coffee growers more than $3,900 for a quintal of coffee, according to records of the Salvadoran Café Institute (ISC).

The United States imported 224,344 quintals, for which it paid a little more than $47.59 million, at an average price of $212.16.

With 9 percent of exports, Belgium is the second destination for Salvadoran coffee by registering 40,126 quintals, which left the producers income of $8.76 million. That is, an average of $218.4.
