The trial of 32 persons for the alleged commission of the crime of money laundering, through the creation of offshore companies through the law firm Mossak Fonseca, scheduled for the morning of Monday, February 19, was suspended due to the presentation of a medical excuse by one of the defence lawyers.

Sources from the Judiciary confirmed that Judge Baloisa Marquinez suspended the trial after the presentation of the medical excuse. It was also reported that another of the lawyers was unable to appear at trial, although the reasons were not specified.

So far, the court has not set a new date for the conduct of this trial, which was originally scheduled for last November.
