For its part, the Dominican Republic covered 7.6 per cent of shipments after accounting for 190 million kilograms of sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Costa Rica and Panama are the Central American countries that exported the least sugar, together they account for only 5.6 percent of the total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Price per kilogram<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite this, the average price of every kilogram of sugar in Costa Rica and Panama is above what El Salvador has been exposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Secmca points out that in Costa Rica, the average export price of each kilogram was between $0.48 and $0.92.
