Volaris El Salvador announced the start of operations of a new route that will connect Miami, Florida, in the United States, with El Salvador. Through a statement, the low-cost airline, with a national flag, indicated that the new route will be available from October 28.
The company, of Mexican origin, indicated that flights for the new aerovía can be purchased from $69.99 in the Miami-El Salvador segment, and at $99.99 in the El Salvador-Miami segment.
The new route will have four weekly frequencies, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and adds to those that are held from San Salvador to Miami, via San Pedro Sula, in Honduras.
The Salvadoran flag airline will provide its customers with connectivity between the two cities seven days a week.

Flights will depart on the designated days, from San Salvador, at 7:41 a.m. and arrive in Miami at 11:14 a.m.
For their part, departures from the U.S. city will be at 12:44 p.m. and is expected to be arrival at El Salvador San El Salvador Sanscar Arnulfo Romero and Galdámez at 2:47 p.m.
According to the company, it was the increase in demand for the destination, by Salvadorans, that prompted them to establish the new direct destination.
The aerovia joins other regular operations that Volaris maintains in the country with New York (JFK), Washington (IAD), Los Angeles (LAX), Houston (IAH), Oakland (OAK) and Miami (MIA), the latter in connection with San Pedro Sula.
Volaris’ director of Sustainability and Corporate Development, Ronny Rodriguez, said that this new route will expand and improve alternatives for people who visit Miami to make tourism or visit relatives.
Volaris El Salvador notes that as of May 30, 2024, they made 1,372 landings and takeoffs in the United States.
The low-cost company started operations in El Salvador in September 2021, currently owns three Airbus A320neo aircraft, with which it operates eight routes in San Salvador, Honduras, Mexico and the United States.
