On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 19, President Nayib Bukele announced to the country that the new Minister of Culture is Raúl Neftalí Castillo Rosales, who until yesterday served as a deputy for New Ideas in the Legislative Assembly.
The technician in Computer Systems Engineering from the Central American Technological Institute of the Business Foundation for Educational Development (ITCA-Fepade), received the mandate from the president to continue strengthening the star projects of the first five years of the current government in cultural material.
These are detailed in the official statement that Casa Presidente shared on its social networks: the new National Library of El Salvador (BINAES), the El Salvador Band and the revitalization of cultural spaces such as the National Theatre and the National Palace of the Historic Center.
It should also continue to promote the Literary Collection for Early Childhood “Tree of Life,” created by the first lady, Gabriela de Bukele, with the support of the Ministries of Culture and Education.
